Introduction
The hotel Espacio y Tiempo was one of the “pioneer” lodges to open up along the Carretera Austral in the early 1990’s. It is located just off the main Carretera Austral road, approximately halfway along the straight sector of the highway that bypasses the actual La Junta Village.
About
The property has been built with natural wood and stone which emits an overall effect of a welcoming, cosy mountain lodge. In addition, the 9 guest bedrooms, also decorated with natural wood have all been finished to a high standard and this, combined with soft lighting, well-chosen colours and well-equipped bathrooms combine to offer a good quality level of accommodation.
The bar is especially welcoming due to its simple, rustic feel and the numerous, different hats that adorn the interior “slanted roof”.
There is Wi-fi in all guest bedrooms, a restaurant with capacity for 25 people, a cosy stone-fireplace living room with a variety of board game and books to enjoy.
It should be noted that La Junta is also located approximately halfway down the Carretera Austral between the start at Puerto Montt and the middle city of Coyhaique.
From La Junta there are also many places to visit and activities to enjoy such as the Palena and the Queulat National Parks, hiking, boat trips and fly fishing. Alternatively, you can just relax in the lusciously green garden.

The Rooms
The Espacio y Tiempo 9 guest rooms all have central heating, private bathroom, telephone with national and international long distance, Cable TV, Wi-fi signal. All bathrooms have the same standard equipment.
Rooms are divided into these categories:
- 3 Matrimonial
- 2 Twin
- 1 Triple Matrimonial (1 double matrimonial plus 1 queen bed)
- 3 Triple (3 individual beds)
