We got home a couple of days ago and I just wanted to send you a message thanking you for all your effort in helping us plan an incredible trip. We loved the itinerary in Torres Del Paines especially since it gave us an opportunity to explore the trail beyond Refugio Grey which was the highlight of our trip. The glacier is beautiful. Each refugio had its own quirks and fond memories about horrible lunches (crushed green beans!!!) but it was all a good experience. Although Chileno is cramped, noisy, and loud, even that turned out good with a 4:30 am hike to the Torres in perfect weather with all our roomies.
The only negative was car transfers. None of them came through which was okay since we are good walkers but it was a little stress when the car did not come in Puerto Natales. Fortunately our hotel owners called Pata Car repeatedly to get them there very late but it worked out. The driver had to exceed the 90 km limit and we ignored the And the bus from Chile to Argentina is an experience but created a story line in our trip.
We were fortunate that we never had to bring out our rain gear and in El Chalten the temperature was HOT.
