Introduction
The Hotel El Reloj (reloj means clock), is a small, family property with 19 guest rooms, located east of the central sector of Coyhaique city.
At the back part of the building is the Coyhaique river and open, Patagonian country. This natural scenery can be seen from some of the rooms.
The building has a “family house” feel to it with the rooms also decorated and finished in the style of a private country home.
This is a simple, family friendly hotel.
About
The Hotel El Reloj began as a 4-bedroom hotel and in the early 1990’s the owners developed it into the 19-room property that it is today.
It is a simple place, very welcoming and emitting a “family home” feel throughout.
The rooms are cosy, simple and what one may expect if staying in someone’s home.
There is a breakfast room, which doubles as the restaurant too where good local food is served.
Where is Hotel El Reloj
When entering Coyhaique on the Carretera Austral, Ruta 7, there is a turn off LEFT (if coming from the north) and this is the street General Baquedano.
The hotel is on the main General Baquedano just up from a sculpture of a sheep sheerer called the “Monumento al Ovejero”.
This is a residential sector 3 blocks east of the main plaza.
