Introduction
The Hotel Centro Ocio is a small, rustic, boutique-style lodge sitting amid its own 20-hectare site of land. The hotel offers 11 guest suites in various accommodation options, nice views over the Castro fiord and back to the city of Castro, from its high-ground position on the Rilan Peninsula. It enjoys, too, access to its own beach and woods, and offers excursions to all interesting places of interest throughout Chiloe Island as well as various activities.
Self-Sustainable
The hotel also aims to be a self-sustainable operation and do all that they can to support rural life and nature. Processes have been implemented to reduce the environmental impact of running a hotel by way of recycling glass, plastics and cardboard and using organic waste to put back into the soil. And, where possible the hotel practices “fair trade” by checking up on suppliers to see if they follow fair trade guidelines in their processes.
The exterior as well as the interior occupies lots of natural wood to create a warm, cosy environment.

The emphasis of the Centro Ocio Hotel is to provide guests with a relaxing ambience, a place to rest and an opportunity to connect with nature and explore Chiloe Island.
Along with the personal service ethic, the accommodation is “warm and cosy”, with each guest room enjoying views down to the Castro channel, or fiord, and the surrounding gardens.
Where is The Hotel Centro de Ocio
The hotel is positioned on high ground, on the Rilan Peninsula, opposite Castro city. By road it is a 21km drive from Castro, which takes around 30min.
From Puerto Montt the drive time, including the ferry crossing of 45min, is around 3.5hrs. Alternatively, if coming in by plane from Santiago to Castro (Mocopulli) airport (flight time just under 2hrs), the drive from the airport is, as mentioned above, around 30min.

Self-Driving
If coming in a rent a car, from Castro to the Hotel you will need to turn off left at the Llau Llao junction and then drive 4km along route W-55 to the intersection with route W-65. At this junction you need to turn right, where there will be signs with the Ocio logo to lead you to the hotel. After 8km from the last turn off you will get to the Puyan junction where you need to turn right and continue for a further 2km on route W-557 whereupon you turn right again and on to a rural dirt road for 2km and then you will see the entrance to OCIO Territorial Hotel.
The Rooms
The Centro Ocio offers 11 guest suites. Each is enjoying an interior finish of wood on the walls and ceiling, combined with warm, soft lighting to create a cosy atmosphere, and on the exterior also covered in natural wood.
A few of the suites have private deck areas from where occupants can enjoy a view of the fiord and Castro city.
Standard Centre Suite (Capacity for 2 Guests)
Comprises two rooms, each 30sqm, one being the bedroom and the other the living room, facing west with a superb view down to the fiord and Castro city. Fitted with large, picture windows through which one can appreciate the natural landscapes and sunsets.
Located 70mt from the car park and within the main building, close to the restaurant and living room with central fireplace.

Superior Suites (Capacity for 2, to 3 Guests)
The Superior Suites are 60sqm and in more of a private setting than the other suites and even closer to the natural surroundings. Located 150mt from the main lodge, linked by boardwalks and paths, 100mt from the car park and 80mt from the main lodge restaurant. Each suite comes with a private terrace offering wonderful views down to the fiord and Castro city.

Standard A La Suites (Capacity for 2, to 3 Guests)
These are 6 exterior rooms of 40sqm each, linked to one another via wooden boardwalks and bordering the garden, but located 100ms from the main lodge. The large windows allow for a fine view to the woods and Castro fiord. Located close to the car park, hot tub and walking trails. Each has a private deck from which to contemplate the surroundings and relax.

Chilote Lodge (Capacity 6 to 11 Guests)
Ideal for a large family or group of friends who get on with each other! This is a house of 200sqm, which the previous owners occupied, since renovated and offering 4 bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, a spacious living room, terrace area and great views down to the fiord and Castro city.
Only 20mt from the main lodge, as well as being close to walking trails, the woods and the fire pit as well as fruit trees, chickens and sheep.
