Introduction
The design of the hotel is such that it is very spacious, both in the communal areas and in the 17 bedrooms. It is very much a Patagonia experience, built for the modern age.
The location of the hotel is about 30 minutes west from El Calafate on the way to the Los Glacieres National Park – home to the Perito Moreno Glacier.
Its own land encompasses 10,000 acres of Patagonia whereupon there are options to horse ride, mountain bike, walk and bird watch.
If you seek luxury comforts, great food and spectacular Patagonian landscape views then Eolo offers all of that.
Featured Hotel
Why is this a featured hotel? In our view the Eolo Hotel has a uniqueness that other properties do not have. It offers stunning, uninterrupted Patagonia landscape views and all the bedrooms are spacious and decorated to a high level. The hotel, in general, is a high-end boutique hotel set in a dramatic landscape.
Where is the Eolo Hotel?
The property is located practically halfway between the entrance to the Los Glaciares National Park and the west side of El Calafate. It is in an area of remote Patagonia on a small mound that offers overlooking views down and across to the Patagonian steppe below and the mountains in the distance.
The Rooms
There are 17 rooms, each one offering a good deal of space and decorated with simple, selective colours that work in harmony with the colours seen in the outside natural landscape. Antique furniture has been selected to reflect that of a typical Patagonian estancia.
Rooms have WiFi, central heating and all expected amenities associated with a high-end hotel. However, do not expect a television, these are not part of the deal.
Superior Rooms
There are 12 superior rooms of 400 sq ft. Views are to the lake, steppe or mountains.
Premium Rooms
The 3 premium rooms of 500 sq ft are just like the superior category rooms except that they have a second window that looks to the garden of the hotel.
Corner Rooms
You may think that there are 4 of these rooms, however there are only 2 corner rooms with an average space of 515 sq ft. These rooms offer incredible far-reaching views out to the immense Patagonian landscape and mountains beyond.
