Hotel Awa, Puerto Varas, Carretera Austral, Lake Region

Introduction

The Hotel AWA is a small, independent, family operated hotel located on the shores of Llanquihue (pronounced “yan-kee-way”) Lake, amid 20 acres of lake-shore land, about 20mins from Puerto Varas on the way to Enseñada, Osorno Volcano and the Vicente Perez Rosales National Park.

The emphasis of the owners is that the service here is personal and to a high level.

Using the hotel as a base, from here there are excursions to the stunning local nature, activities such as kayak, fly fishing (with helicopter transfers), rafting and trekking as well as cooking experiences with the hotel chef.

ExperienceChile.Org will be pleased to include this hotel under an all-inclusive program whereupon you will also have the services of your own, personal guide.

About

In line with the other, recently constructed top-end hotels in Chile (period 2010 – 2020), the Hotel Awa is now part of this select group of innovative, high-end accommodation options that offer more than just a place to stay.

The Awa is a modern, minimalist design, boutique lodge. The interior decoration involves a well-planned mix of raw cement with natural wood on the walls, and lava rocks around fireplaces, together with soft, warm lighting and quality materials for bed coverings. Each part of the architecture has been thought out to be practical as well as impressive with, for example, an indoor swimming-lane pool whereupon one end of the actual pool has a transparent window between the water and the exterior facing the lake.

Amid the facilities the hotel offers is a spa with a massage cabin, steam room and whirlpool, and restaurant that makes use of fresh organic fruits and vegetables from its own vegetable garden and serves local as well as international cuisine.

Every one of the 22 rooms and 4 independent villa suites enjoy a view down to the lake.
