Introduction
The Full W Trek encompasses three, different valleys. Running east to west, these are: The Ascensio Valley, the end of which is the TORRES BASE; the FRENCH VALLEY (in the middle of the trail), and on the western arm, the GREY LAKE and GLACIER GREY.
This itinerary will allow you to do a full day hike to each of the three valleys – BUT return back to the privacy and comfort of your glamping lodge room, with en-suite bathroom.
Glamping lodges offer high-end camping accommodation with tasteful, modern facilities together with great food and educated guides.

Shared transfer to your lodge. Meeting with your guide to discuss the next day itinerary. Dinner and Night at your lodge.

After breakfast, your transfer will take you to Puerto Natales airport, or the border village or the Natales bus terminal, or even to Punta Arenas.
W TREK HIKING INFORMATION
From the Welcome Centre to the Torres Base and back down. Return hike time 9hrs.
- Begin the hike to the Torres Base. Welcome Centre to Chileno: 6.1km / 3.9mi – 2hrs 30mins hiking.
- Chileno to Torres Base: 4.8km / 3mi – 2hrs hiking.
- Time at the base to rest and take pictures 30min.
- Torres Base to Chileno: 4.8km / 3mi – 2hrs hiking.
- Chileno to the Welcome Centre: 6.1km / 3.9mi – 2hrs 30mins hiking.
From Paine Grande to the French Valley and back. Return hike time 8hrs 30mins – 10hrs.
- Paine Grande to the French Valley Entrance: 7.8km / 4.mi – 2hrs 40min hiking.
- French Valley Entrance to the French Valle Viewpoint: 2.6km / 1.6mi – 1hr 30min hiking.
- French Valley Viewpoint to Camp Britanico (the end): 3.2km / 2mi – 1hr hiking.
- Camp Britanico (the end) to the French Valley Viewpoint: 3.2km / 2mi – 1hr hiking.
- French Valley Viewpoint to the French Valley Exit: 2.6km / 1.6mi – 1hr 30min hiking.
- French Valley Exit to Paine Grande: 7.8km / 4.8mi – 2hrs 40min hiking.
Total hike time if to the French Valley Viewpoint and out is: 20.8km / 13mi – 8.5hrs hiking.
Total hike time if to the French Valley Camp Britanico and out is: 27.2km / 17mi – 10.5hrs hiking.
From the Paine Grande to Grey Glacier. Return hike time: 8hrs.
Upon arrival to Refugio Grey your options today are:
1 – Go and visit the hanging bridges before hiking back to Paine Grande.
2 – Hike back to Paine Grande.
3 – Depart from Grey by boat across Grey Lake to Hotel Grey* will be treated as an extra cost and must be pre-booked. Also required will be an extra cost to arrange a return bus from Hotel Grey to Puerto Natales.
Hiking Back to Paine Grande: Allow 4hrs from Refugio Grey.
